Joining MPA
Membership in MPA offers companies a critical advantage in preparedness and readiness by granting direct access to MSRC’s extensive response services. As a trusted Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO), MSRC is equipped with specialized resources and expertise to manage a range of incident scenarios.
Through MPA membership, companies can designate MSRC as their OSRO in essential regulatory documents such as Facility Response Plans (FRPs), Vessel Response Plans (VRPs), Oil Spill Response Plans (OSRPs), and other contingency plans required by federal and state agencies. This partnership ensures that members are well-prepared to meet regulatory compliance standards while enhancing their capacity to respond swiftly and effectively.
The steps to become a member of MPA to contract with MSRC for the ability to cite MSRC as OSRO in relevant response plans are as follows:
- Contact MPA to receive a membership quotation covering your company’s operations.
- Complete a membership application and sign the member agreement.
- Pay the initial annual membership dues.
- Sign the MSRC service agreement.
- Receive a Certificate of Coverage as proof of your OSRO contract with MSRC for regulatory authorities.
